MEET THE JOURNALIST

Stories are tremendously powerful. For centuries they've shaped our understandong of the world and those around us.

As the world has become more polarised and disparate in the dawn of the digital age, stories have become even more important.

Stories enable us to see the world through someone else's mind, to understand their world-view and experience, to help us to realise that despite our differing beliefs and experiences, we share much more in common than we ever knew.

It is my goal to produce engaging, accurate and resonant stories that help bind us all and share in our understanding of the world.

Covid Crossroads: Australia's Economic Recovery

10th of May, 2022.

Like 2008’s GFC, the Covid pandemic has been a major economic challenge for the Morrison Government. They say it’s one they’ve overcome, hailing Australia’s incredibly low unemployment as a sign of a successful economic recovery. But Labor says that’s not the full story, with incredibly high inflation creating cost of living challenges for many.

So how did we get here, what’s the real story, and what should happen next? We unpack the arguments and economic plans of both major parties with critical analysis from ANZ Bank’s Head of Australian Economics, David Plank & RMIT University Senior Lecturer in Economics, Leonora Risse.

A Baker's Delight

22nd of June, 2022.

Bread has been a staple of diets around the globe for centuries. It has symbolic connotations with sharing, homeliness, welcoming and forgiveness. For Head Baker of Wildlife Bakery in Brunswick East, Samuel Heys, baking bread is something more meditative. Enshrined in tradition and a spark that breathes life to community.
